More Than 150 Attends National Reining Horse Association Professionals Clinic at the 2015 Pony of Americas Congress

The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) and NRHA Professional Sean Johnson of Kellyville, Oklahoma, offered a tremendously successful reining clinic at the Ford Truck Arena at the Tulsa State Fairgrounds in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Sunday, July 12. Assisting Johnson was NRHA Professional Will Letner and NRHA Judge Corey Hendrickson. More than 150 attendees filled the arena for the hour-long clinic that detailed the different elements of reining.

Following the clinic, Johnson said he was really pleased with the turnout. “I’m excited NRHA is working to give Professionals more exposure. There was a huge turnout, and the crowd really got into it! That was fun.”

Johnson added, “It was great having Corey help because we were able to give the judges point of view and to talk through the judges system.”

In addition to the special clinic, NRHA’s own Kinsey Fling was in attendance with an interactive booth all weekend to answer questions, process business transactions and take memberships. “I think the whole weekend was a success. Although surprised, several came up to NRHA and were thankful that we came out,” said Fling.

The trip report concluded with notes about parents, kids and judges stopping by the booth to tell NRHA that the clinic really did help them and that they took something they learned and applied it to their pattern. “I was really pleased to support the sport of reining and with the overall experience,” concluded Fling.
