Tom Winsor, currently vice president and general manager of Active Interest Media’s Equine Network, publishers of Horse & Rider, Equus, StableManagement and 10 other equine brands, is leaving AIM to become the new Chief Operating Officer at Spalding Laboratories headquartered in Reno, Nevada.
For the past four years, Winsor, a veteran in the media and direct-marketing business, has been the driving force in the acquisition and consolidation of four major media companies, all focused on the equine industry. His efforts have led to the creation of one of the most influential equine publishing networks in the United States.
His new position as COO of Spalding Labs kicks off in August 2014. “Through my vast media career, I have known many exceptional partners and colleagues, with AIM topping the list,” stated Winsor. “I am very excited about forging this new alliance with Spalding Labs, one of the most progressive and sophisticated direct marketers in the equine industry, today.”
