Picture Your Rescue Giveaway Now Open for Equine Rescues

One lucky equine rescue will be randomly selected by A Home for Every Horse to receive a $1,000 donation for horse health and veterinary expenses from Zoetis for veterinary care and horse health expenses as the winner of the Picture Your Rescue competition. Zoetis the sponsor of the competition to promote meeting the health needs of all horses.

Horse owners and enthusiasts are encouraged to take part in the contest in helping to “raise” the donation by completing the online Leptospirosis Risk Assessment (https://www.zoetisus.com/products/horses/lepto-eq-innovator/evaluate-your-risk/index.aspx). Zoetis will donate $1 for each completed Leptospirosis Risk Assessment to fulfill the $1,000 donation.

Equine leptospirosis is a costly and underdiagnosed disease that can affect the entire equine industry. Horse owners can now answer a few simple questions to help determine if their horse is at risk for leptospirosis and are able to print the results to initiate a conversation on prevention with their veterinarian. Vaccination against leptospirosis is now available with LEPTO EQ INNOVATOR® from Zoetis, the first and only leptospirosis vaccine for horses, which launched earlier this fall.

Equine rescues can compete to win the Picture Your Rescue Giveaway and the $1,000 prize for veterinary care and horse health expenses by completing the online application. Entries are due in full on Dec. 15, 2015. The $1,000 prize will be randomly given to a rescue based on a drawing of completed applications.

Zoetis has continues to partner with A Home for Every Horse by providing rescues with assistance through donating health care products including STRONGID® Paste and WEST NILE-INNOVATOR®. Rescue horses have many needs when they first arrive at rescues, and Zoetis actively supports A Home for Every Horse and shelters around the country helping provide rescues the ability to foster each in-coming horse.
