  • Social Media increase your business

Thank you for your informative article. I have a Facebook, Rockin' L&D Ranch and Twitter account that gets updated sporadically (my Show Team added pics to my Facebook). I will try Google and FourSquare to keep my ranch on the media map. Plus take the advice of Kelly to have a goal for my media updates which takes less time then updating my website www.RockinLDranch.com.

  • Nothing like Shameless Self Promotion

While promoting your own site, you failed to mention in your criticism that just having a presence on these sites is a huge plus. no one has the time to add content to SM sites as they should, but so many ignore even the presence, and that alone can be key for clients / customers. baby steps!

  • Boosting Business with Social Media

Excellent overview of social media by StableManagement.com. However, before getting started, it's best to have a strategy on how social media is going to fit into the rest of your marketing plan. What are your goals? To find more boarders, to keep your current boarders happy? To sell horses? Have more show entries? Effective social media marketing needs a constant source of new and interesting content that will keep your target audience "tuned in." Make sure you have the time and resources to keep it up. Feel free to check out my blog at www.horsebizgirl.com to find out more about how to create "blue ribbon" content for your horse business social media marketing.
