  • Don't forget your payment

These are some great ideas and a few to add:
Make sure your horse is groomed and feet cleaned if it is the muddy season
Make sure you bring your check book, cash or credit card if they take it, so sad to get to the end of the appointment and the payment is "oops-I forgot to bring it" and the payment is weeks to arrive if ever.
I am a training/lesson barn owner and a vet office manager/vet assistant. If you can't afford the oppointment, then postpone it until you can or be up front and set up a payment plan.

  • put your barn at the top of your veterinarian/farrier “favs” list.

GREAT article. Easy things for you make a big impression on your support team. I received the ultimate compliment from my vet: "When I die, I want to come back as one of YOUR horses!"
