North American Western Dressage’s annual Fall Festival Virtual Show had a great turnout in 2016 with 127 submissions from across the nation. Our judges—Donna Snyder-Smith, Coeli Netsky, Linda Sorensen, Evelyn Pfoutz, Stephanie Burgess, Michaela Lane and Jen Johnson—worked hard to evaluate all submitted tests, and we are extremely thankful for their attention to detail and educational comments for our participants. Special thanks to show managers Amanda Mathias and Jen Johnson with a shout out to Ashley Wallace for assistance with score checking and Julie Slater for preparing the new results webpage with videos—view the winning rides online at nawdhorse.org/fall-festival-2016-virtual-show-results.
First- through sixth-place winners in each category receive custom-designed ribbons featuring artwork by Michelle Guillot, courtesy of NAWD. Exhibitors who submitted three or more tests—at least one of which was a groundwork test—were eligible for overall “Versatility” placings. Versatility champions in each division received engraved silver award conchos for their achievement.
Congratulations and thank you to all host barns and participants. Thanks to you, NAWD judged more than 300 rides in October and are well on our way to meet our goal of 1,200 rides for 2016. Placings for the 2016 NAWD Fall Festival follow:
