ACTHA and USRider Join Forces

When the American Competitive Trail Horse Association surveyed their large data base of members and subscribers asking what they would like ACTHA to provide next, the most popular selection was a roadside assistance plan that included the possible towing of their trailer as well as help with the care of their horse if needed. This wasn’t a surprise in that ACTHA events are one of the leading causes for trailering of horses in the USA. Estimates include approximately 30,000 round trip trailering events in 2014 alone,

“We didn’t have to look far…USRider was the only logical choice. Not only were they the only credible provider we could find that included “horse” trailer towing, the broad scope of their benefits which extends to cars and trucks with or without trailers makes one wonder… why wouldn’t every horse owner choose USRider’s 24/7 anywhere anytime membership? At about $10 per month plus a onetime small startup fee it’s the best value in the industry and uniquely beneficial to anyone. Horse or not! The trailer packages and broad range of traditional services makes USRider the logical choice for anyone…trailering or not.

The three-year agreement calls for ACTHA to promote USRider as a sponsor just as we do all our great sponsors and USRider has agreed to promote ACTHA as they do all of their participating associations.

“Special offers for ACTHA followers will be intermittently offered as well as ACTHA supplying special offers on its events to USRider club members,” said Bill Riss, President of USRider, and Tom Scrima, General Manager of ACTHA.

At USRider, the safety of our Members and their Horses are our top priority. To help us keep the focus on, as well as show our respect to, these invaluable components of USRider, we capitalize the words “member” and “horse” where these words relate to our membership program.

Now in our 6th year ACTHA is the largest and only provider of competitive trail events in every state and Canada. OUR MISSION…To create an enjoyable venue showcasing the wonderful attributes of the great American trail horse and granting them the recognition they so richly deserve. To create a registry open to all breeds and a point designation system which will stay with each horse for its lifetime, thereby adding to their value and distinction. To create and enable humane treatment and employment options for horses in need.
