At the American Horse Council (AHC) Board of Trustees meeting held on October 30, 2020, the board welcomes its newest member, Tom O’Mara, the incoming Board President at the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF). O’Mara is filling the recent vacancy of USEF representative Chrystine Tauber.

Jim Gagliano, AHC Board Chair, praised Tauber for her years of services and contributions and stated “Tom will be an outstanding addition to the AHC Board given his extensive board experience and financial acumen. We look forward to leveraging his expertise and his contributions.”

In other business, the AHC Board elected officers to serve till June 2021, including Chair Gagliano representing The Jockey Club, Vice Chair Dr. Rick Mitchell representing USEF, Secretary Craig Huffhines representing American Quarter Horse Association, and Treasurer Matt Iuliano representing The Jockey Club. The Board also approved new committee chairs for the Health and Regulatory Committee—Dr. Eleanor Green—and Show & Competition Committee—Dr. Billy Smith of the American Paint Horse Association.
