American Morgan Horse Association Launches Redesigned Website

The American Morgan Horse Association (AMHA) is pleased to announce the release of a redesign of its website, www.morganhorse.com.

June 20, 2013 — The American Morgan Horse Association (AMHA) is pleased to announce the release of a redesign of its website, www.morganhorse.com.

The new website boasts a fluid, clean design with easy-to-use navigation and interface. Its user-friendly design provides easier access to programs, forms and everything else Morgan!

Enhancements to the website include:

  • A social media deck that allows RSS feeds and connections to Facebook and Twitter
  • A mobile option for Smartphones
  • Content has been edited to be clean and concise
  • All new photographs that will be changed on a regular basis plus a new photo gallery

The AMHA Marketing & Promotion committee, in collaboration with the AMHA IT Committee, used website statistics to determine which pages on the current website were used most often, least often, and the navigation pathways. A membership survey also was conducted to learn about members’ social media use, likes/dislikes and suggestions. From there, a “sitemap” was created to outline the most optimal ways to organize the site.

AMHA collected hundreds of photos for possible inclusion to the website. Photos were then selected for resolution and clarity, keeping in mind the beauty of the breed with an emotional tug.

“We think our new website design, along with our social media efforts, will help us connect with Morgan enthusiasts and our members in a much more effective way,” said AMHA Executive Director Julie Broadway.

Founded in 1909, the American Morgan Horse Association is a non-profit organization serving more than 50,000 Morgan horse owners, breeders, exhibitors and enthusiasts throughout the United States. AMHA serves as a parent organization to more than 90 recognized Morgan horse clubs and national organizations.
