Gordonsville, VA, May 27, 2013 — Having a horse and being able to maintain it takes education and sometimes years of practice. But when it comes to maintaining performance horses at their highest level, having a professional around to help give yourself a great foundation of knowledge can make a huge difference in the show ring. Tigger Montague, founder and formulator at Biostar EQ, is providing her expertise in the field of equine nutrition to the owners, riders and professionals all across the world as Biostar EQ launches their online monthly webinar series.

Biostar EQ and Montague will be hosting monthly webinars, which are free for everyone to attend. The goal is to open up educational talks to horse owners and break down the barriers of confusing terms and topics to help horses flourish not only in health, but in performance as well. Biostar’s first webinar in the series tackled Stress in Horses. The webinar covered The Cortisol Connection, Where Stress Starts, Recognizing the Signs, Managing Stress, and was followed up by a Question and Answer session. Due to the success of the event, Biostar decided to continue on with topics of interest from the group’s participants following a similar format, as well as covering topics which play an important role in horse health.

The upcoming seminars are as follows:

  • Thursday, May 30th, 2013, at 8 PM EST Biotechnology in the Barn? Everything You Wanted to Know About Genetically Modified Organisms But Were Afraid To Ask. Montague will be discussing and answering questions related to what is a genetically modified organism, environmental and health concerns, biotechnology in our food, relevant scientific studies and what this all means in relation to our horses.
  • June (Date TBD) – How to Decipher and Read Labels
  • July (Date TBD) – Understanding Reductionist Nutrition – Why Whole Foods Offer More Benefits, The Sum is Greater Than The Parts

Signup is not mandatory, and all details for the events can be found on Biostar EQ’s website (http://www.biostareq.com).
