Mark your calendars for BreyerFest Silver Jubilee, Breyer Animal Creation’s 25th annual festival for horse lovers to be held July 11-13, 2014, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky.
BreyerFest is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. This fun, family-friendly festival celebrates everything we love about horses and the model horses that are inspired by them! Twenty-five years ago, BreyerFest began as a one-day event with some 500 guests. Today BreyerFest draws more than 10,000 horse lovers of all ages from around the world and 200 special equine guests to Lexington for its three-day festival which is one of the largest events hosted in Lexington each year.
This year’s BreyerFest Celebration Horse is the fabulous Friesian Gooitzen fan Teakesyl. Imported from Holland by Siren Song Stables and Dr. Scott and Annika Bruggeworth, Gooitzen’s record includes 130 career wins and 15 World Champion titles. Gooitzen will be presented at BreyerFest by Emmy Award-winning television star, fashion designer and horseman Carson Kressley and the Bruggeworth family! A limited edition collectible Breyer model of Gooitzen fan Teakesyl is included with every three-day ticket purchase to BreyerFest!
Activities on-site include three days of exciting live horse demonstrations featuring some 200 horses of many breeds, meet and greets with our special equine guests, free pony rides and petting zoo, 65-booth Trade Fair, a mega Breyer Store filled with models created especially for BreyerFest, a Craft and Activity Center with free crafts and face painting, model horse displays and shows, workshops and free seminars. On Saturday evening a special concert performance will rock the Alltech Arena! Tickets include access to activities at the Kentucky Horse Park, too!
New this year is the exciting Tonka Fun Zone. This area is dedicated to a different kind of horse power! It will feature the mighty Tonka T-Rex Monster Truck and a playground dedicated to Tonka toys!
This year, BreyerFest’s Special Guests will include Knights of Valour and Shane Adams (of The History Channel’s Full Metal Jousting fame), Behind the Mask Friesians, Knights of Iceland as well as many of the real horses who have been honored by Breyer as portrait models. Watch for future announcements about these very special guests.
Also returning due to popular acclaim will be the Eastern Regional Splash Dogs Championships, where dock diving dogs will compete for fun and fame!
