BWFA Hall of Fame 2012 Inductees

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — OCT. 25, 2012 — Established in 1992, the BWFA was the first farrier association to recognize fellow members into a Hall of Fame. In honor of their dedication to the farrier industry and to serving horse owners, these four members were inducted into the Hall of Fame during the BWFA 23rd Annual Horseshoers Convention Awards Banquet held October 12, 2012 in Georgia.

  • Barry Denton of Skull Valley, Arizona –BWFA Master Farrier, Blacksmith, Photographer, and an active member in the Professional Reining arena
  • Dan Marcum of Kirbyville, Texas – BWFA Master Farrier, Professional Horse Show Trainer and Breeder, Equine Adjuster who also developed his own Equine Flexion Therapy
  • Buck McColl of Thomasville, North Carolina – Clinician, Owner, Nutritionist and Developer of the equine nutritional products provided by Mobile Milling Service
  • Tony Gonzalez (Deceased in 2000) – BWFA Master Farrier who developed the P.B.M., Proper Balance and Movement technique and introduced it to the farrier industry in 1986
