CHA Seeks Donations for Silent Auction

Every year the Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) holds a Silent Auction at the CHA International Conference. CHA is seeking donations for this year’s silent auction from companies and individuals who would like to reach out to the horse industry market, especially to riding instructors, camp and trail instructors, equine facility managers and staff, industry professionals, and horse enthusiasts. CHA graciously thanks donors in advance since all money raised from the silent auction help to fund the CHA Scholarship Fund.

CHA’s scholarship program helps new riding instructors become certified so that they can continue providing safe, effective, and fun instruction to adults and children. Many students straight out of college and adults who have had a change in their life, such as divorce or family emergency, apply for this financial need. It’s an important endeavor that helps with CHA’s mission of certifying riding instructors who have met stringent certification standards set forth by the association. As the largest certifying organization in North America, CHA has certified more than 30,000 riding instructors thus far, and next year the organization will celebrate its 50th Anniversary.

The 2016 CHA International Conference is the event of the year for CHA members and non-members alike and will be held October 19-23, 2016, at Middle Tennessee State University and at the Holiday Inn Murfreesboro.

CHA is a 501(C)3 non-profit tax exempt organization. Therefore, contributions and/or donations are deductible as charitable contributions. All donors who submit the donation form by August 31, 2016, will be promoted in the conference program, on the CHA website, and on signage at the event. Donations after this date will be accepted, but will not be able to be published in the program. To complete the form, visit https://cha-ahse.netlou-secure.com/product_images/uploaded_files/silent%20auction%20pledge%20form.pdf.

This year’s silent auction will open at 10 am on Thursday, October 20 and will close on Saturday, October 22 at 9 pm during the CHA Awards Banquet. Attendees can bid on the items at the Holiday Inn Murfreesboro at any time, as well as enjoy the trade show, where vendors will be showcasing their products and services. So don’t forget your wallet and checkbook for all of the wonderful shopping opportunities!

The CHA International Conference has a jam-packed schedule so that attendees can learn more about horse care and management, equine welfare, teaching techniques, saddle fit, choosing a lesson horse, and how to improve your riding and groundwork and communicate more clearly with your horse…just to name a few of the presentations and hands-on mounted workshops.
