Fine artists from all over the United States and Canada will celebrate the beauty and majesty of the horse as the Equine Dream Art Show and Sale returns to the nation’s ultimate equine exposition, the Horse Expo Pomona, Friday through Sunday, Feb. 7-9, 2014, at the Fairplex, 1101 W. McKinley Avenue, Pomona.

Sponsored by BLICK Art Materials, the Equine Dream Art Show and Sale will provide an ideal environment for emerging and established artists to display and sell their works.

“We’re excited about bringing back the Equine Dream Art Show to the Horse Expo in 2014 with even more artists participating than ever before,” said Horse Expo Events President, Miki Nelsen. “It is our goal to provide attendees with stimulating art pieces and to promote the horse as a subject of fine art”.

Deadline for entries is Dec. 15. Submission categories include oil, acrylic, colored pencil, pastel, pen & ink, pencil/charcoal, watercolor, photography, sculpture, pottery, mixed media and wearable art. Artists can submit up to three entries of work for each division and the art subject must be horses of all breeds, color, or sport, landscape or western lifestyle as well as dogs. The junior division is open for the emerging artists age 17 and under. Ribbons will be awarded for each category and a cash prize will be awarded to Best of Show. All artwork entered into the art show will be available for purchase on site.

Horse Expo Pomona offers something for every level of horse enthusiast. Several new events will include the Breed Revelation, Premium Horse Sale and a nationally sanctioned NRCHA Event, the California Classic Invitational Cow Horse.
