EQUUS Film Festival Announces Partnership with Kentucky Horse Park

The EQUUS Film Festival is delighted to announce a new partnership with the Kentucky Horse Park beginning September 2, 2016, and running on the weekends all year long in the Kentucky Horse Park Post Time Studios Theaters!

Selected films from the EQUUS Film Festival in New York City will be available to KHP visitors in the newly renovated Post Time Studios Theaters in the Visitor’s Center and Gift Shop Building. Screenings will be Friday, Saturday & Sunday and a schedule of the programming will be available at the park and on the KHP website. We will begin screenings in one of the theaters for 2016 and then have screenings in both theaters in 2017.

Documentaries, feature films, short stories and much more; there will be something for all horse lovers. Filmmakers will be joining their films for conversations about their work throughout the year and special film events are being planned.

We will be presenting a broad and exciting series of films from our corral. You can take a ride through the Andes Mountains with a group of blind riders in Stefan Morel’s “Blind Spot” or splash across the southwest United States on the journey of a lifetime, with teams of beautiful black Friesian horses in “The Caravan.” These are just a few of the exciting and educational film that visitors to the Kentucky Horse Park will have a chance to see.

“Bill Cooke, International Museum of the Horse Director and the team at Post Time Studios and the KHP have been wonderful in helping secure a selection of films that will appeal to all ages and to the different, varied riding styles of visitors who come to the KHP every year. We are sure that for many years to come we can provide an extra level of entertainment for the horse lovers of the world,” said Lisa Diersen Founder and Director of the EQUUS Film Festival.

Program available online soon. Visitors can look for them to be published on the www.EQUUSFilmFestival.net and the www.KYHorsePark.com websites.
