The 2018 College Prep Invitational (CPI) Horse Show welcomes back long time sponsor GGT Footing as Presenting Sponsor of the inaugural CPI Team Challenge, a new event slated to take place during the CPI horse show from January 12-14, 2018 at Jim Brandon Equestrian Center in Palm Beach, Florida.

“GGT has been a strong supporter of the CPI horse show for many years,” said CPI President Lindsay Martin. “We are so grateful for their ongoing support and their willingness to get behind this exciting new format, designed to bring a fun, team atmosphere to the weekend’s competition.”

Designed to mimic the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) model of team competition, the CPI Team Challenge places all CPI riders on teams that will earn points from their performance throughout the weekend of competition. Points will be tracked on a special event leaderboard. After the points are tallied at the end of the competition, CPI will award special ribbons and prizes to Team Challenge participants based on their team’s overall performance.

The Team Challenge adds a great element of fun to the competition, which awards points and prizes for at the completion of the competition for overall and divisional high point riders. The CPI Scholarship and Educational Fund also awards scholarships to riders in five main areas: CPI Essay Contest, CPI Champion of Service, CPI Horsemanship Written Test / Horsemanship Challenge, CPI Photojournalistic Award and for High Point Rider.
