June 17, 2013 — Horse Illustrated magazine is partnering with Tipperary Equestrian to introduce the Safety Center on HorseChannel.com. The free program has five main components:
- Safe riding and horse handling practices
- Safety Gear FAQ answering common questions about helmets
- Interactive quizzes on safe horsemanship
- Video and step-by-step instructions on correctly fitting helmets and protective vests
- A showcase of the latest safety gear from Tipperary
HorseChannel.com visitors can test their knowledge of equestrian safety and protective riding gear by taking the Safety Certification quiz. Every participant who scores a 70% or better will be entered to win valuable safety gear from Tipperary Equestrian. New prizes are offered monthly with participants in the first 30 days being entered to win either a limited edition breast cancer awareness Pink Eventer Vest (MSRP $259) or Pink Sportage Helmet (MSRP $74.95). The Safety Center runs from May 15 to August 15.
