For the fifth year in a row, Las Vegas-based Horses4Heroes, a non-profit horseback riding organization that serves armed forces members, veterans, first responders and their families, has received a grant from The Priceline.com Hollywood Charity Horse Show, sponsored by Wells Fargo. Horses4Heroes was one of 37 non-profit organizations that were recognized for their work on behalf of children during a granting ceremony in Burbank.

Celebrating its 24th year, William Shatner launched the Hollywood Charity Horse Show in 1990 to raise money for charities that support children. Each year the Hollywood Charity Horse Show brings together world-class reining horses and riders in breathtaking slides and spins as they compete for top honors in their respective classes. This year’s show at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center will be April 26.

Horses4Heroes is one of the most successful equestrian support groups for veterans and military families. Since 2006, Las Vegas-based Horses4Heroes has introduced more than 5,000 service members, veterans, first responders and their families to horses and horseback riding, simply because of their sacrifice and service to our country. The organization’s growing national network of more than 250 equestrian facilities in 43 states plus Canada provide affordable (sometimes free) recreational, instructional and health and wellness programs for all ages, all riding levels and all disciplines. These programs emphasize fun and safe activities with horses, mounted and un-mounted, for all ages. Participants learn valuable leadership and teamwork skills, make new friends, and develop a lifelong love of horses.
