The biggest equine photo contest of the year is back, and as many as 5,000 horse lovers are expected to participate. Manna Pro, an animal nutrition and health care company, is giving away more than $3,000 in prizes this year, including a first place prize of $1,000 and a one-year supply of Manna Pro horse treats. Everyone who enters receives $15 in Manna Pro horse treat coupons. The “inspiring Moments” contest is under way now, with a submission deadline of December 31, 2016. 

Consumers can find information about the contest as well as save money on Manna Pro’s best selling horse treats at the “Rewarding Moments” in-store displays. On-package savings include a $2 instant coupon for Apple Wafers and a $1 coupon for all other Manna Pro horse treats. 

“With our retail displays and instant coupons, we’re making it easy for customers to buy horse treats this holiday season,” said Carolyn Adams, Senior Brand Manager at Manna Pro. “We know from consumer research that our customers love to give treats as gifts to their horses, so our displays and contest are good reminders for your holiday checklist.”

Adams added that the Manna Pro retail displays feature photos from last year’s contest entries, as a “fun way to recognize our customers’ creativity.”

The 2016 photo competition features six categories, with one winner per category and one overall winner. 

The categories are: 

• Express-Your-Selfie – Show us you and your horse’s best selfie!
• My Inspiration – A category for those picturesque, inspirational photos that capture the essence of horses and why we share our lives with them.
• Holiday Moments – Frolicking in the snow or warm and cozy in the stall, share with us your most cherished holiday moment.
• Horse Play- Get silly.Get sassy.Get your laugh on!
• NEW Category “Old Is Beautiful”- A category to celebrate the life-long friendships with our senior horses. Whether they are now in our memories, or if we are still cherishing moments with them!
• NEW Category “Foaling Around” – The category just for foals!

Manna Pro staffers–many of whom are horse owners–will judge the first round of finalists, and then ask customers and social media fans to cast their votes for the winners. 

“This is our third annual photo contest and we can’t wait to see all the unique and inspiring images from horse lovers,” Adams said.
