FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — JAN. 29, 2013 — Have you wondered exactly what you’re getting when you buy bales of hay? What percentage protein is it? Is the hay really 50% alfalfa and 50% timothy hay? What is the leaf-to-stem ratio? Is the smell a giveaway to the quality of the hay? What about color? What’s the concentration of legumes for hay like alfalfa and clover?
All these questions — and more about your hay — can be answered for FREE by visiting the Nutrena booth, #9018 in Building 9 at the Horse Expo Pomona, Thursday, January 31 – Saturday, February 2 at the Fairplex in Pomona, California.
This free hay analysis (just bring a baggie full of the hay you’re feeding) is part of Nutrena’s program to educate horse owners about what exactly it is they’re feeding their horses. The experts at the Nutrena booth at the Horse Expo will be glad to answer your questions about hay and overall equine nutrition.
Horse Expo Pomona is a huge gathering of the horse community, with headliners Chris Cox, Richard Winters, Nick Karazissis, Peggy Cummings, Raye Lochert, John Bozanich and a field of other equine experts. A Book Corral, Equine Dream Art Show and Sale, Young Rider Park, breed displays and demonstrations — and an array of other special events will round out the experience for all attendees.
For those who buy tickets for Friday, they will be treated to a free evening performance, “Chris Cox and Friends,” featuring horseman extraordinaire Chris Cox, a spectacular 20-horse presentation of the Fiesta of the Spanish Horse, and a dynamic, energy-packed performance of cattle dogs presented by Roy Cox (no relation to Chris!). The evening gala begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Ram Truck Freedom Arena.
