Penn Vet First Tuesday Equine Lecture October 3

Penn Vet will present “Ocular 911: When is the Eye and Emergency” on October 3 in Alumni Hall at New Bolton Center. This First Tuesday equine lecture will be from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

The presenter will be Dr. Nicole Scherrer, Clinical Assistant Professor of Large Animal Ophthalmology. She will discuss the importance of rapid response in addressing ocular emergencies.

Scherrer’s presentation will outline the most common ocular emergencies in horses and why they need to be dealt with quickly. As she breaks down what eye problems are the most concerning, audience members will learn when it is time to bring their animals to the hospital.

First Tuesday is a free monthly lecture series for horse owners and enthusiasts presented by New Bolton Center in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Lectures are free and open to the public.
