RMQHA Fall Futurity to add $2,500 Ranch Horse Pleasure

The Rocky Mountain Quarter Horse Association is adding one of the newest and most popular AQHA-approved events--Ranch Horse Pleasure--to its annual Fall Classic & Futurity line-up.

Aug. 13, 2013 — The Rocky Mountain Quarter Horse Association is adding one of the newest and most popular AQHA-approved events–Ranch Horse Pleasure–to its annual Fall Classic & Futurity line-up, with $2,500 in added sponsorship money for 3- and 4-year-old futurity divisions, plus $500 more for Amateur Ranch Pleasure. The Ranch Pleasure Futurity will have two goes and exhibitors also will show at halter.

The fun and rewarding Fall Classic & Futurity is set for Sept. 12-15 at the National Western Complex, Denver. Judges include: Glenn Wells of Georgia; Mike Weaver of California; Jeff Mellott of Kansas; and Manita McKool of Georgia.

Also new for 2013 is a 3- and 4-year-old Trail Futurity, added by popular demand.

In addition, the RMQHA Fall Classic & Futurity includes:

  • Colorado Owned & Shown Futurities, with added money from sponsor Northwest Insurance;
  • Open futurities for all breeds;
  • All futurity classes have guaranteed added money;
  • $500 Youth High Point Scholarship, sponsored by Northwest Insurance;
  • Four Full AQHA shows;
  • NSBA dual-approved classes;
  • “I Stand For Life” Award Ceremony; and
  • A complimentary Barn Party on Saturday night!
