If you're good enough to ride at Rolex, you've probably got one of the best seats in the house. Today's high performance saddles can cost upwards of $10,000, so when the value of your dressage, cross-country or show jumping saddles nearly equal that of a subcompact car, shouldn't they have the security of their own 'garage?'
Meet SaddleLockers, the next generation in tack and saddle security, whose galvanized steel, foldable vertical lockers will be on display and conveniently available for purchase at the Sponsor Village and International Trade Fair of the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, April 24-27 in Lexington, Kentucky.
SaddleLockers offer a new approach to better security, privacy, ease and quality of storage for today's high performance equestrian sports athletes.
Why? Because they weren't designed by a horse person.
SaddleLockers.com creator Rainer Herrmann of HERCO, LLC works in Detroit's automotive industry and was introduced to 'horse life' through his wife Megan's dressage and their daughter's riding lessons. Applying his engineer's objectivity to what he found at the barn, Herrmann didn't just pimp a tack box: he did a complete conceptual overhaul.
SaddleLockers are the only equestrian foldable steel locker available for purchase in the U.S. An accordion-style design allows a 180-pound, 71” x 30” x 30” 20-gauge Stationary steel locker to be collapsed in a minute. Lockers can be stacked to secure and organize tack rooms in multi-rider facilities.
“Events and barns are very public, high traffic areas,” Herrmann said. “SaddleLockers assure no accidental 'borrowing' or unwanted animals sleeping--or worse---on valuable equipment.”
Megan, the family's dressage rider, agreed: “We know the most important and costly investment, next to a horse, is saddle and gear. We created SaddleLockers to satisfy the need in our industry for safe, practical and portable storage of riding equipment.”
SaddleLockers Stationary and Mobile units are available in standard galvanized steel, black, blue and green; colors and logos can be customized. SaddleLocker accessories further assure that each locker offers its owner a perfect 'saddle fit.'
Stationary SaddleLockers include two saddle racks, two bridle racks, two rope hooks, adjustable shelves for custom fit, adjustable feet for leveling and a three-point locking system.
Mobile SaddleLockers are designed for travel including rough terrain, and weigh 174 pounds in a more compact 51” x 30” x 30” unit. Mobile lockers have the same three-point locking system, plus movable bridle racks, adjustable shelves, air wheels for easy mobility, and bottom tray to protect against scratching.
More than 175 merchants, corporate sponsors and food vendors will be open daily at the Sponsor Village and International Trade Fair at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event. In addition to horse-related items, the fair features designer sport clothing and accessories; paintings, prints and sculpture; crafts; jewelry; gift items and souvenirs unique to the equestrian lifestyle that make the Trade Fair a must-see for browsing and buying during The Event.
