Aug. 24, 2013 — The author of the Beloved Horses series, Sharon Miner, begins her 2013 September Book Tour on Labor Day weekend traveling from Florida through Georgia to Tennessee. She has been invited to hold events at a tack shop with two locations near Memphis and Nashville, and one at an independent book shop in Atlanta.

Judy’s Tack Shop will host the equine/children’s author book signing event on Thursday, Sept. 5, from 3-6 pm at the Germantown, Tennessee, shop on 2075 Exeter Road.

On Friday, Sept. 6, from 3-6 pm, the author will be at Judy’s Tack Shop on 2176 Hillsboro Road in Franklin, Tennessee.

Tall Tales Book Shop located on 2105 LaVista Road in Atlanta, Georgia, will host the author visit on Sunday, Sept. 8, from 1-3 pm.

At all three locations, Sharon Miner will share her inspirations for her 10 books, read sample chapters and answer questions on writing and publishing. There will be free refreshment and door prizes for the audience. At the Tennessee events, a fun craft of decorating a real horseshoe with bling will be offered for a $5 donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, which is located in Memphis.

The Beloved Horses series are illustrated collections of true short stories about the special bonds between horses and their riders. The fifth book released last fall, Beloved Horses From Around the World, features equines from Aruba, England, Switzerland and Canada as well as American breeds. One story describes a man’s passion with zebras and mules, while another shares how a Nokota Horse healed a sorrowful heart of a Pennsylvania woman.
