Shapley’s is pleased to renew our sponsorship at the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival for 2014. This year Shapley’s is sponsoring the Green Conformation Hunter Division (3’6) as well as the Regular Conformation Hunter Division (3’9). These divisions require a perfectly turned out and conformed horse that is athletic as well as beautiful. These horses are truly the most beautiful athletes on the show grounds. Show grooming is almost an art form with these horses and the grooms are all, we are delighted to note, using Shapley’s products.

The FTI Winter Equestrian Festival runs 12 weeks from Jan. 8 to the end of March. Shapley’s is a sponsor of both Conformation divisions each week during circuit and will post the Champions on our Facebook and social media weekly.

Another class we are proud to sponsor again at this year’s WEF is the Shapley’s $500 Grooms Class. This class is held Feb. 7, Feb. 28 and March 28 during the circuit. These classes are our way of showcasing and giving back to the hard working grooms. The classes are open to all grooms at WEF and are hugely supported by trainers and owners as well as the grooms themselves. There is no entry fee and the grooms win money and prizes. The groom brings a perfectly groomed and tacked horse, hunter or jumper, to the ring presented as if it was going to be in a division. The groom is judged by a panel of top judges on cleanliness and turnout of horse and tack as well as of everything else on the horse—boots, scrims, coolers and whatever else needed. The judges also look in the grooms backpack or brush box to see how prepared they are for any ringside need.
