Singer Kristyn Harris to be Featured at Parelli Institute Annual Benefit Gala

Kristyn Harris, the Academy of Western Artists “2014 Western Female Performer of the Year,” will be the featured entertainment at the Parelli Education Institute’s Annual Benefit Gala to be held Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at the Institute’s Pagosa Springs, Colorado, campus.

“We’re so pleased and excited that Kristyn will be our featured entertainment,” said Parelli Education Institute Executive Director Lori Northrup. “Not only is she an outstanding entertainer, she is also a dedicated horseperson who believes in natural horsemanship. What a great combination for our Summit Gala!”

Harris, who appears at venues across the United States and Canada, is noted for her singing, songwriting, swing rhythm guitar style and yodeling. In addition to the musical entertainment by Harris, the Gala will feature a fashion show with Parelli models wearing clothing from Goodman’s Department Store in Pagosa Springs and a silent auction with great items donated by businesses and vendors.

“And, to top it off, we will continue to offer bidding on the eight beautiful, Parelli-trained, Atwood Ranch horses that are being auctioned off,” added Northrup. “It will be a fun, entertaining and exciting evening!” The auction will officially close on Sept. 7, 2014.

Only 100 tickets will be sold to the Gala, which includes generous appetizers and beverages. Tickets are $50 in advance or $60 the week of the event. To learn more about the Gala go to www.parelliinstitute.org/events-2014/annual-benefit/.
