The highly praised production of The Spirit of the Horse that was performed for the first time at the Alltech Arena in the Kentucky Horse Park in November 2013 returns for its second season on Dec. 5 and 6, 2014.
Produced by Half Pass Moon Productions, the show features world-class horses, including three-time USDF Horse of the Year GP Raymeister and top dressage riders from the KYB Dressage team, including Kim and Yvonne Barteau.
After last year’s performance, audience members were filled with words of praise for the show that inspired the company to make the 2014 show bigger and better than ever. “We were enchanted and totally enjoyed every minute of the production,” said Carolyn Flajnik of Nashville. “Thank you very much for offering this holiday event…I sincerely hope you will host the show again next year.”
Capturing all the elements of a dazzling Broadway musical, The Spirit of the Horse has one component rarely seen on a Broadway stage—spectacular high-level dressage and performance horses ridden by championship riders at the highest level in their sport.
“What makes our show unique and exceptional are the multi-talented horses that dazzle audiences wherever they perform,” said Yvonne Barteau, the author of the script. “These are the true stars of The Spirit of the Horse.”
Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. on both Friday, Dec. 5, and Saturday, Dec. 6. Tickets are priced at $15 for adults and $10 for children over 12. Children under that age will have free entry. The magical barn tour that drew hundreds of spectators last year is back for a ticket price of $5.
Tickets are available online at kybdressage.com.
Don’t miss the return of this very special holiday equine extravaganza.
