‘Stars’ Shine Bright with North American Western Dressage

North American Western Dressage is taking its popular NAWD Stars program to new heights, unveiling an expanded version of the program in 2017; dubbed “Stars for Life,” the expansion is designed to recognize participants and highlights their personal goals and accomplishments.

The original Stars program celebrates horses, handlers and trainers who earn at least three scores of 65% or better in NAWD programs, like Western and traditional dressage, groundwork, trail, freestyle and ranch competitions. One star may be earned in each category by a horse, Amateur/Youth, trainer, coach, teams and ambassadors. This program is free, and NAWD membership is not required.

Stars for Life provides customization for participants—each receives a personal webpage on nawdhorse.org, where they can showcase their photo, personal story and a comprehensive and more detailed listing of Stars earned. As part of the new program, Stars may be earned for each level within the respective categories: Introductory, Basic Level, Level 1, etc.. This program is $50 annually, or $30 per year for NAWD members.

Scores are verified and updated quarterly for participants.
