Western Dressage Association Adopts New Calendar Year Membership Format

Effective July 1, 2015, all WDAA memberships will begin, end and be renewed on the same universal date. Membership will follow the calendar year with a start date of Jan. 1 and end date of Dec. 31. The WDAA feels this system will better serve our members by making it easier to monitor your benefits and allowing for more efficient administration of programs, like soon to be released Horse Lifetime Performance Points and Awards.

I am a current WDAA member who has or needs to renew in 2015. How does this decision affect my membership?

The WDAA highly values our members and wants to ensure that they are able to access the full scope of their benefits for the time frame which they have joined the organization. To aid with the transition to the new format, those members renewing in the remainder of 2015 will be extended with a pro-rated dollar amount reflective of the months remaining in the year before transitioning to the new calendar year system effective Jan 1, 2016. For those members who have already renewed in 2015 or recently joined prior to this announcement, your membership conversion will happen on your 2016 expiration date, with the pro-rated format. All benefits and programs for members will remain the same.

I am thinking of joining the WDAA, what does this mean for my membership?

We encourage new participation in Western Dressage at any time of the year, but understand you also wish to enjoy the full scope of benefits for the remainder of the 2015 calendar year. So for those signing up as new WDAA members, you will receive a pro-rated membership reflective of your 2015 mid-year join date. Effective January 1, 2016, all newly registered WDAA members will be moved into the full calendar year billing cycle at the traditional membership rate.

If you have questions or comments regarding the change to the universal calendar membership renewal date, please message the WDAA via info@westerndressageassociation.org. We thank you for sharing this amazing Journey of Western Dressage!
