Bit of Britain and Nunn Finer Announce the Show Your Fan Face 2014 Contest at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event

Bit of Britain, in partnership with Nunn Finer, is excited to announce the “Show Your Fan Face 2014” contest, which will be held during the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky, April 23-27. Attendees at the event may enter to compete for more than $1,500 in Nunn Finer prizes.

To participate, attendees at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event should visit the Bit of Britain booth in the Sponsor Village and pick up the “Fan Face” paper cutout of their favorite Nunn Finer Sponsored Rider scheduled to compete at Rolex, which includes Jennie Brannigan, Sally Cousins, Ellen Doughty and Sharon White. Then, participants are encouraged to take humorous and wacky photos with themselves, their friends, and their fan face on course, at the event and after hours. To officially enter the contest, photos should be shared on Twitter with @bitofbritain using the hash tags #fanface14 and #rk3de. Bit of Britain will compile all the images in a gallery and post them to the Bit of Britain Facebook page each day.

“We wanted to create a unique contest that utilized the lighthearted side of our sponsored riders and gave the attendees a fun way to show support for them,” said John Nunn, president of Nunn Finer. “We certainly think that our eventing fans are among the most enthusiastic of all horse sports, and this contest provides us with an opportunity to reward the cheerleaders of our sport.”

Prizes will be awarded in a minimum of three categories: Most Creative, Most Humorous and Best Use Cross Country. The number of entries may be used to determine additional prize categories, so participants are encouraged to use their imagination and create images that could be considered for other categories. Prize packages awarded in each category will include a Nunn Finer Event Bridle, an Optimum Time Watch, two pairs of Single Touch Brushing Boots, a pair of the Easiest Spur Straps Yet and a pack of the Easiest Keepers Yet ($500 retail value). Winners in each category will be able to select their preferred colors in each product, including the new colored Easiest Spur Straps Yet and Easiest Keepers Yet.

The participating riders are Jennie Brannigan (@jbrannos), Sally Cousins, Ellen Doughty (@pegasuseventing ) and Sharon White (@lffarm). These riders, along with longtime Nunn Finer Sponsored Rider and Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event Technical Delegate Carol Kozlowski, will also be signing custom printed autograph cards at the Bit of Britain booth on Friday afternoon. Attendees should visit the Bit of Britain booth and check the activity board outside the tent for more detailed information and signing times at the event.

A panel of judges will determine the winners in each category and award prizes in additional categories if entries warrant. The decision of the judges is final. Photos should be in good taste and any inappropriate photos will be removed and disqualified. Entries close April 27 at 5:00pm EDT. Full rules are available at https://www.bitofbritain.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=34.
