Breyer’s exciting family festival Pony Up will return to historic USET headquarters in Gladstone, New Jersey, on June 17, 2017. The one-day festival is designed to introduce families and children of all ages to enjoy a fun, hands-on experience with some of the real horses that inspired Breyer’s model horses and to learn all about the many ways that children can get involved with horses.

“Pony Up! gives parents and children a relaxing and welcoming environment to learn more about different horse breeds and ways that they can get their children involved with horses and horse-related activities.” Said Kathleen Fallon, Breyer’s VP of Communications. “If you haven’t grown up with horses, it’s hard to know where to start. Pony Up! will not only answer a parent’s questions but will also give the whole family a hands-on day with horses too! Plus, every child will receive a choice of a beautiful Breyer Classics model horse to take home with them to remember their experience.”

At Pony Up!, Breyer will feature a number of local stables that will provide a wealth of information about how parents and children can enjoy horses and model horses, learn more about riding, and understand the benefits to their child of time spent with horses.

Special guest horses will include Breyer portrait model Brookside Pink Magnum owned by Rebecca McGregor of Rebedon Farms, Philipsburg, NJ, Toby the rescue miniature pony, Zemi Farm Vaulters, and Mane Stream, a nationally renowned equine assisted therapeutic services company, and more.

Meet & greets with horses and owners will be held, and equine breed demonstrations in the arena will feature Friesians, ponies, draft horses, a Norwegian Fjord Pony and other fascinating breeds.

Activities for children include a visit from a very special ‘unicorn’ who loves to have his picture taken with children, carriage rides, and pony rides. Other activities will include a cute petting zoo, kids jumping competitions with fun prizes, face painting, George the Magician, and a craft activity tent where kids can paint their own dream horse to take home with them.

Girl Scouts looking to earn their Horseback Riding Badge can earn valuable credits toward completing this badge at Pony Up!

Model horse hobby activities will include the Hands-On Hobby Booth where hobby experts will talk about collectability, model horse showing (performance and halter) and customizing. Hands on activities include Introduction to Customizing, Repairing model horses, Create Your Dream Horse, and Showing Model Horses.

Delicious food will be available all day and vendors include Delicious Ice Creams, Designer Dawgs and Poppy’s Kitchen and Jersey Rollz!

Breyer’s new Spirit Riding Free Collection will be available in the Breyer Pop-Up Store on-site along with other popular models and accessories and some Mid-Year releases.
