FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — SEPT. 10, 2012 — Charles Owen is pleased to announce its third 2012 “Helmet Awareness Week” partnership with Horse Shows In the Sun (HITS). This third “Helmet Awareness Week” will be held September 12 – 16 at HITS-on-the-Hudson in Saugerties, New York. Charles Owen and HITS join “Riders4Helmets” on a combined mission to educate riders to the benefits of always wearing a properly fitted, certified equestrian helmet. This week’s events constitute the third Helmet Awareness Week event with HITS that also included weeks at HITS Thermal and HITS Ocala.

During “Helmet Awareness Week,” Charles Owen will encourage riders to sign a pledge promising to wear a certified helmet at all times while riding. The pledge card asks for a commitment from riders that states, “I Promise. Every Ride. Every Time.” At the conclusion of this week, a raffle drawing will be held to award one complimentary Charles Owen equestrian helmet to the winner.
