Equestrian Events, Inc. (EEI) is opening ticket sales early to unveil a new ticket-ordering system for the 2018 Kentucky Three-Day Event. Ticket sales will open September 27, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. Eastern U.S. time.

Equestrian Events, Inc. (EEI) is opening ticket sales early to unveil a new ticket-ordering system for the 2018 Kentucky Three-Day Event. Ticket sales will open September 27, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. Eastern U.S. time. Known as the “Best Weekend All Year,” the Kentucky Three-Day Event will return to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky, April 26-29.

“We have been building a new ticket system. It’s ready, and we are eager to unveil it,” said Stewart Perry, President of Equestrian Events, Inc. (EEI), organizer of the Kentucky Three-Day Event, of the earlier date.

“Our new system has really simplified the process of buying tickets to our event,” said Lee Carter, EEI Executive Director. “Even those purchases that traditionally folks called in, like group tickets, can easily be done online now.”

Tickets and tailgating spots go fast once sales open, so fans will get the best tickets at the best prices if they order early.

Ticket options include single-day, three-day (Friday-Saturday-Sunday) and four-day general admissions, as well as group sales and reserved grandstand seating. All grounds admission tickets include general parking, admission to the Kentucky Horse Park and International Trade Fair, but do not include access to the competition in the Rolex Stadium. Reserved grandstand seating is sold separately from grounds admission and traditionally the best seats are sold out by January 1, so everyone is encouraged to place orders as early as possible.

For a unique world-class Kentucky experience, special Ringside Hospitality packages are available. Cross-Country day (Saturday) draws massive crowds to the Kentucky Horse Park, so those interested in acquiring a reserved place along the course for the popular Land Rover Tailgate are urged to reserve their spaces early. Land Rover Tailgating passes include 6 general admission tickets and one reserved parking space near the Cross-Country course. Premium spots generally sell out in the first few days of ticket sales.

New this year is Saturday’s CSI3* $225,000 Invitational Show Jumping Grand Prix, to be held after Cross-Country, and Friday’s $35,000 1.45m FEI ranking class, held after Friday’s Dressage. There is no charge for the Grand Prix or ranking class tickets, but seats must be reserved through the ticketing system ahead of time.

Tickets for the 2018 Kentucky Three-Day Event can be ordered starting September 27 at www.KentuckyThreeDayEvent.com/tickets.

Equestrian Events, Inc. (EEI) is a non-profit charitable Kentucky corporation that was established initially to produce the 1978 World Three-Day Event Championships at the Kentucky Horse Park. Following the success of those championships, EEI established an annual event that evolved into the world-renowned Kentucky Three-Day Event which draws more than 80,000 spectators to the Kentucky Horse Park each year.

The Kentucky Three-Day Event is one of the world’s most prestigious equestrian competitions and features the world’s best horses and riders vying for their share of $400,000 in prize money as well as a shot at the $350,000 Rolex Grand Slam of Eventing, which is awarded to any rider who wins the Kentucky, Mitsubishi Motors Badminton and Land Rover Burghley Four Star Events in succession.
