FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — DEC. 6, 2012 — American Farriers Journal will host an online hoof-care classroom presentation about successfully shoeing thoroughbred racehorses.
The presentation will be given by James Jimenez, a California farrier who has shod many notable racehorses, including I’ll Have Another and Lava Man. This free webinar will be held Thursday, December 20, beginning at 8 p.m. EST.
Jimenez will cover the common foot challenges he finds with these horses and solutions he uses to overcome them. Many of these problems also are common among other breeds and disciplines, so Jimenez will explain how many of the solutions are equally applicable.
Whether shoeing horses for the track or if you simply have an interest in the breed, Jimenez’s insight will help you understand the farrier’s role in keeping the horses healthy, as well as how these same problems may apply to the horses you own or work with.
Jimenez will share his 40 years of experience by sharing tips on how establishing goals has helped him grow his practice–regardless of discipline.
The presentation will last approximately 45 minutes, followed by a Q&A session where attendees can ask questions of the farrier.
The presentation is sponsored by Farrier Product Distribution. “FPD is pleased to sponsor this webinar featuring Jim Jimenez; a highly respected farrier in the industry,” stated Dan Burke, President of Farrier Product Distribution, Inc. “We are always happy to support educational programs for the industry.”
